Brasilia

Brasília is the capital of Brazil and has a population about around 2,557,000. Brasília is located in central Brazil. Brasília is a modern day city designed by Lúcio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer. On April 22, 1960 Brasília officially became the capital of Brazil. 


Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro is commonly referred to as Rio. It has a population about 10,556,000. People all around the world come to the carnival in Rio since it is one of the biggest festivities in the world. Also in Rio is Cristo Redentor(Christ the Redeemer) which looks over Rio 130 feet tall on top of the Corcovado Mountain.

São Paulo

São Paulo is on the coast of Brazil. São Paulo has many landmarks such as the Paulista Museum, the Bandeiras Monument, the United Nations Business Center, and the Octávio Frias de Oliveira Bridge, and São Paulo Museum of Art. Sampa is a popular nickname for São Paulo because of its unpredictable weather.
