Amazon Rainforest thickly covers most of the north of Brazil and through it gushes the Amazon River. With a source from the Andes Mountains, the river flows for about 4,000 miles across the continent. Almost half the river flows in Brazil for 1,960 miles. With water flowing rapidly, the river has created cliffs as deep as 300 feat. 

São Francisco is Brazil's second longest river which is 1,988 miles long. it flows east and north and empties into the Atlantic Ocean

Itaipú Dam is built on the Paraná river, a few miles away is the Iguaçú Falls spilling into Argentina.

Iguaçú Falls rips through a canyon across the Brazil-Argentina border. With a horeshoe-shaped rim, there are 275 falls, divided by islands and large rocks. "Devil's Throat" or Garganta do Diabo is the most vicious drop were water spills from 300 feet above. About 1.2 million gallons of water fall per second into the base below.
